Bird hit incident grounds Delhi-bound Air India flight

KOLKATA: An Air India Dreamliner aircraft was grounded at Kolkata airport after a bird-hit incident was detected during a routine post-flight inspection on Monday morning. Engineers were requisitioned from Mumbai to inspect the right engine with byroscope and detect the possible damage where the feathers were found. An alternative aircraft flew down to Kolkata to take stranded Delhi-bound passengers in the afternoon.
